Return Policy

We are sorry to hear that you are not happy with the item you purchased, please notify us within 3 days of receiving the item. For Anna New York, Boconi, Orrefors, Kosta Boda and Steuben you have only 24 hours to notify if the item you received is damaged and need to returned. Shipment should be returned within 15 calendar days after delivery. Please note that the items can only be returned if they are unused, in original packing damaged during the shipment or look different than the pictures. Holiday, Sale, Personalized, customized and Special Order items cannot be returned. Please share the picture of damaged product within 3 days of delivery. Items that are marked for clearance or final sale cannot be returned.

Restocking fee applies on special order products, heavy weight items, lamps, wall art, mirrors, furniture, mattresses, and area rugs. 15% restocking fees will be applied for Anna New York, Boconi, Caesar Crystal Bohemiae, Coravin, Courant, Hampton Nautical, Fil Harmony, Kosta Boda, Orrefors, OYOBox, Pasotti, Plum Wine, Royal Delft, Steuben, Wolf and Zanchi. 

If you return a portion of your purchase, an applicable portion of your original discount and shipping will be forfeited.

Please note that Holiday and Sale items cannot be returned. Restocking fee applies on few products and brands. 

Please follow the below guidelines to receive a refund for your returned items:

  • Notify us within 3 days of delivery via email with the reason for return for approval. If an item is damaged or broken, please attach pictures. For Anna New York, Boconi, Orrefors, Kosta Boda and Steuben you have only 24 hours to notify. Once return has been approved, you will receive a notification via email from our Concierge Desk ( Bespoke (Made to Order, Special, Customized and Holiday products cannot be returned once order is placed.
  • Items must be unused and in original condition - used/worn/washed items cannot be returned and will not be eligible for a refund.
  • The items must be in original packing with tags attached. 
  • There should be no parts, accessories or paperwork (like certificates, warranty cards etc.) missing from your return shipment.
  • Please add a copy of original order with the return.
  • Currently, The Emperor’s Lane only operates in the USA, and we cannot ship to, or receive returns from other countries outside of the USA.
  • Shipment should be returned within 15 calendar days after delivery. 
  • Refunds will be processed within 7 days of us receiving the returned items.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring proper packaging of items being shipped back. Any breakage or damage in shipment will nullify the eligibility for refund.
  • You will be responsible for the return shipping.

Special Made to Order Products

All products (Circu, Delightfull, Luxxu, Pullcast, Rug'Society) are carefully packed and inspected prior to shipment.

According to the existing conventions, the receiver on receipt of the goods shall verify their conditions with the carrier and keep the package.

Proof Of Delivery (POD) must be signed.

In case of apparent damage, the consignee must open at the moment with the carrier and keep the load at the destination with packages, and mention damages on POD.

In case of no apparent damage, the consignee has within 7 days of delivery, excluding Sundays and holidays to claim.

Consigner is not liable for damage resulting from handling, loading, or unloading by persons acting on behalf of the consignee.


Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

Late or missing refunds

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again. 
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. 
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Sale Items

Only unused regular priced items with original packaging may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded. 


We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at Please note that quantities are limited.

Change or Cancellation Policy

We understand that circumstances change! Order can be changed or cancelled within 24 hours if it has not been shipped. Once the order is shipped, it cannot be cancelled or changed.
